Johnson Frustrated With Border Security Impasse

Dusty Johnson is one frustrated freshman Congressman in the midst of the continuing border security standoff.

Johnson is part of the first freshman class in history to be sworn-in during a government shutdown. He has decided not to take a paycheck until the impasse is solved.

Despite his frustration, the Republican from Mitchell refuses to assign blame.

Johnson says he is working “on the margins”, doing what he can as a freshman to help find a solution, especially talking to House Democrats he knows to search for any daylight.

President Trump refuses to lift the shutdown until Democrats agree to border wall funding. The Democrats refuse to even consider border security legislation until Trump lifts the shutdown.

The gridlock continues.
