James Claims Highway 34 At Forestburg

The James River is causing problems on another South Dakota highway. Two days after wind-blow waves caused flood waters to crash over US Highway 14 in Huron, the Jim is starting to flow over South Dakota Highway 34 at Forestburg. The water flowing across Highway 34 caused Halter to change her travel plans back to Huron. She says the water’s movement is visible across the highway…

According the website www.safetravelusa.com, officials are advising reduced speed throught the area, but the highway is still open to traffic.
