Attorney General Marty Jackley is pleased with the outcome of the 2017 legislative session as Governor Dennis Daugaard signed a number of A-G sponsored bills into law.
He says one of the measures was SB 27, dealing with conflicts of interest
Jackley also praised measures expanding the 24/7 Sobriety Program with remote devices and improving the state’s victim notification system.
The attorney general was disappointed in the failure of a bill to increase the penalty for vehicular homicide, but says he’ll try again next year.
