Iroquois Man Dead In Rollover Near Carthage

A one vehicle accident north of Carthage has taken the life of an Iroquois man. Fifty-nine year Curtis Wendel was at the wheel of a 2000 Jeep Cherokee that left 425th Avenue on a curve near the intersection of 220th Street. The S-U-V rolled into the west ditch. Both Wendel and a passenger, 27 year old Clint Frankfurth of Huron were not wearing seat belts, but both stayed inside the vehicle as it rolled. Frankfurth was not injured. No other details are available about the crash. Leading the investigation into the crash two miles north of Carthage is the South Dakota Highway Patrol with assistance from the Miner and Kingsbury County Sheriff.
