Back in July, Countryside Dental suddenly closed its doors leaving many patients who purchased membership dental plans from the practice feeling that they may have been scammed. As a result, South Dakota Consumer Protection opened an investigation into the former Huron dental practice of Dr. Brenon Farmer.
Jodi Gillespie with SD Consumer Protection says they aren’t currently able to release many details about the investigation. When asked how many complaints her office has received about Countryside Dental, Gillespie says she is only able to talk about the last five year period.
Gillespie says at this time she can’t say how many, if any, of the complaints are related to the current investigation.
Gillespie says the complaints cover multiple issues.
