City to Form Committee to Improve Accuracy of 2020 Census Count

A representative of the U-S Census Bureau met with Huron city officials yesterday about developing a Complete Count Committee for the upcoming national census. Partnership specialist Blanca Ramirez-Salazar said the committee is key for an accurate head count in the city.

She said Huron would benefit from forming a committee because of the city’s changing demographics.

She said the committee members should be an accurate cross section of the city’s residents.

Huron Mayor Paul Aylward and other city officials will be in charge of committee selections.
