The Huron Tiger spring baseball team is ready for region play.
Huron has a 5 and 9 record with the 12 seed in the tournament and will play 5 seed Brandon Valley in the first round, with the winning team playing winner of 4 seed SF Washington and 13 seed RC Stevens. Spring baseball adopted a round of 16 format similar to what the Activities Association began for volleyball and basketball this past year.
Huron coach Dillion Corcoran likes the new system, as it puts more importance on the regular season.
There are a total of four regions, with the highest four seeds hosting. The regions are single elimination, with the four champions playing next weekend in the state finals.
