Two 16-year-old Huron teens are dead following a single vehicle crash near Alpena. Sunday. The South Dakota Highway Patrol says Emmanuel Martinez was at the wheel of a 2003 Cadillac C-T-S when it lost control on a curve on 392nd Avenue. The vehicle went into the east ditch, then slide across the highway causing it to roll over several times, coming to rest in the west ditch. Neither Martinez or Marisol Corona, were wearing seat belts and both were thrown from the Cadillac. Martinez died at the scene. Corona was transported by ambulance to Huron Regional Medical Center then airlifted to Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls where she died of her injuries. Assisting the South Dakota Highway Patrol at the scene were the Jerauld, Beadle and Sanborn County Sheriff Offices. Alpena Fire and Rescue, Jerauld County Ambulance and South Dakota Game Fish and Parks.
