In recent weeks, Sturgis, Pierre and Brookings have all passed similar resolutions of support for Daugaard’s petition. The Canadian Pacific has expressed interest in possibly selling the 660 miles of track west of Tracy, Minnesota that made up the former D-M & E line. Some recent reports say the C-P is close to making a sale of the line by the end of the year. The C-P says that is not the case.
