Huron Police Warn Public to Be on the Lookout for Counterfeit Cash

Counterfeit $100 bills have been passed at a number of Huron businesses over the last few days.

Sgt. Casey Spinsby with the Huron Police Department says they began getting calls from local businesses on June 9th.

Spinsby says there a number of difference between the counterfeit bills and legitimate currency that make the funny money easy to identify.

Spinsby says the department is working with affected businesses to attempt to identify the suspects responsible for passing the counterfeit bills.
