Huron Police To Appeal To Public For Help Funding Child Safety Programs

The National Child Safety Council is working together again with the Huron Police Department in selecting material for another year of child safety programs in the Huron area. With so many safety topics for consideration, officials are asking for the public’s help and cooperation for funding and materials. The National Child Safety Council has assisted the Huron Police to put on bike and pedestrian safety programs in grade schools and provided reference and educational materials on bullying, drugs, alcohol and tobacco for kids. The National Child Safety Council is conducting a letter campaign to appeal for this year’s needed funding. Contributions to the program are tax deductible. If you have questions when your letter arrives, about how the funds are applied locally contact the Huron Police at 353-85-50.
