The Huron Police Department is looking into the death of an eight-month old baby last Sunday. Sergeant Casey Spinsby says police officers and Huron Ambulance EMT’s responded to a call regarding an eight-month old child who was not breathing. The baby was transported to Huron Regional Medical Center for emergency care and was later pronounced deceased. Spinsby says an unexplained death investigation underway, which is standard procedure for police with the death of a small child. An autopsy has been conducted however the results have not been released. No charges are pending in the case, however that may change as the investigation continues. Spinsby says additional information may be released at a later time if it becomes available.
