Huron police are going “back to the video tape” in an attempt to solve yet another business theft. On the heals of two arrests made in a theft at a Huron gas station using the release of surveillance video, detectives have posted security footage from the Subway store at 8th Street and Dakota Avenue. The latest video posted to the H-P-D’s Facebook page shows two individuals crouching low on the floor, attempting to access something below the front counter near a cash register. Both suspects wore hooded garments and seem to have been wearing white gloves. One has a green stocking cap, the other a gray cap. The suspect with the green hat is wearing black clothing. The suspect with the gray hat is wearing a coat with a red lower half and gray upper half, separated by yellow piping. The Subway break-in was reported to police just after 11:30 P-M on Sunday night. Six-hundred dollars in cash and coins were taken from the store. Huron Police again encourage anyone in the public with information about the crime to contact them at 353-8550.
