Huron Police Investigate Subway Theft

SubwayHuron police are going “back to the video tape” in an attempt to solve yet another business theft. On the heals of two arrests made in a theft at a Huron gas station using the release of surveillance video, detectives have posted security footage from the Subway store at 8th Street and Dakota Avenue. The latest video posted to the H-P-D’s Facebook page shows two individuals crouching low on the floor, attempting to access something below the front counter near a cash register. Both suspects wore hooded garments and seem to have been wearing white gloves. One has a green stocking cap, the other a gray cap. The suspect with the green hat is wearing black clothing. The suspect with the gray hat is wearing a coat with a red lower half and gray upper half, separated by yellow piping. The Subway break-in was reported to police just after 11:30 P-M on Sunday night. Six-hundred dollars in cash and coins were taken from the store. Huron Police again encourage anyone in the public with information about the crime to contact them at 353-8550.
