Huron police are still on the look out for a person or persons responsible for a stabbing on Saturday night. Detective Casey Spinsby with the Huron Police Department says officers responded to a reported stabbing around 9:20 P-M in the 500 block of Third Street SW. Officers encountered a 26-year-old male victim with a deep laceration to his arm. The victim was transported by ambulance to Huron Regional Medical Center for treatment. Two individuals at the residence were detained and interviewed by police but neither were involved with the stabbing. One of the individuals may have witnessed the stabbing. A search warrant was conducted at the residence and Spinsby says several items of evidentiary value were recovered. The suspect or suspects in the stabbing case remain at large and have not been identified as the investigation into the incident continues. The South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation and South Dakota Highway Patrol have assisted the Huron Police Department with troopers helping control the scene and DCI agents aiding in the investigation.
