The Huron Parks and Recreation Department made the difficult decision to close off playground equipment at the city parks. Caution tape has been placed around playground equipment including a longtime Huron favorite, Rocket Slide at Prospect Park. Parks and Recreation Director LaRon Klock explains what went into the decision.
Klock said the parks walking trails are not affected, this is only for playground equipment and signage will be in place.
Park trails continue to be available for use. Users are reminded to use social distancing guidelines and be safe.
