A Kansas woman died in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 212 about 10 miles west of Watertown Friday morning. 25-year-old Stephanie Leanne May of Lawrence, Kan., was killed in the crash. She was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Cavalier eastbound on Highway 212. A 1992 Mack truck driven by 57-year-old John William Shoultz of Huron was westbound. The Chevrolet crossed the centerline, and the two vehicles collided. May received fatal injuries in the crash. Her three-year-old son was uninjured. Shoultz also was uninjured. All occupants were wearing seatbelts. No further information is immediately available. The South Dakota Highway Patrol is investigating. Codington County Sheriff’s Office and Watertown Fire and Emergency Medical Services assisted.
