A Huron man has been sentenced for having methamphetamine in a home where an infant was also found. In a plea deal with Beadle County prosecutors, Neil Erickson was sentenced Tuesday to one year in prison for possession of a controlled substance and one year for keeping a place for the sale or use of a controlled substance. The sentences are set to run at the same time. Erickson was arrested in mid-March after Huron police discovered a meth lab while on an unrelated call at a home near Washington Elementary School. A 14-month old child was in the home at the time police were on the scene. Three charges were dismissed in the plea deal with Erickson.
