Huron Man Injured In Motorcycle/Car Accident

A Huron man is in a Sioux Falls hospital following a mid-week car/motorcycle accident. The motorcycle, driven by 50-year-old Bret Beck, collided with a car driven by 20-year-old Layla Jacobs around 4:45 PM Wednesday afternoon. Beck’s motorcycle was struck by Jacobs car at 21st Street and Ohio Avenue Southwest where Beck sustained what police say were immobilizing injuries. Beck’s injuries are considered non-life threatening. Jacobs was cited by law enforcement for having no valid drivers license and failing to yeild to oncoming traffic. Huron police remind residents, that as the days grow longer and warmer, drivers should be wary of motorcycles, A-T-V’s and bicycles that may be getting out to share the road.
