Huron Man Charged With Grand Theft For Bad Checks

Huron police arrested a 31-year-old man Friday for passing 44-hundred dollars of checks on a closed account. Aurenell Manzano-Rivera is charged with Grand Theft for passing approximately twenty checks at businesses in the Huron area. Sergeant Brandon Neitzert with the Huron Police Department says multiple businesses have come forward reporting the received the checks between August 1st and September 15th. In addition to the checks known about at this time, detectives have recovered multiple items including a 41-inch flat screen television, computer equipment, cell phone and equipment and touch screen tables. All of the equipment recovered so far has been identified and the businesses notified.
