A Huron man facing a felony drug charge changed his plea Tuesday in Davison County Circuit Court. According to court documents, 33 year old Justin McAllister was arrested in the parking lot of a Mitchell restaurant on March 14th with more than one pound but less than ten pounds of marijuana in his possession. In an agreement with prosecutors, McAllister pleaded guilty. In exchange for the guilty plea prosecutors agreed to cap a sentencing recommendation at five years in prison with two years suspended and will not seek habitual offender charges. Judge Rodney Steele ordered a pre-sentence investigation and set sentencing for October 16th. The charge carries a maximum sentence of ten years in prison and or a $20,000 fine.
