A Huron man has been arrested for aggravated assault and kidnapping.
Capt. Casey Spinsby with the Huron Police Department says the incident occurred around 10:20 this morning.
The woman was able to stay on the phone with dispatchers and give updates on her location.
The suspect is identified as 55-year-old Richard (Rick) Alden Hofer.
The victim stated she was struck with the bat before the suspect threw it out of the vehicle when he saw police.
Police believe the incident stemmed from a dispute over money.
Officers were able the locate the bat and collect it as evidence.
