While Huron looks to escape the heavier snowfall forecast across parts of South Dakota this weekend, areas to our south are still on track for to 6-9 inches of snow.
Amy Parkin at the National Weather Service office in Aberdeen says there has been a slight shift to the south.
Hand, Hyde and Hughes are now included in a winter weather advisory taking effect at midnight tonight.
Parkin says things could change so it’s a good idea to keep an eye on the forecast throughout the weekend.
Wind and icing are not expected to be significant factors with this system.
