The City of Huron has joined approximately 60 other municipalities across the state, in lending it’s support to a proposed piece of legislation, likely to be brought to this year’s legislature by the South Dakota Municipal League. Mayor Paul Aylward says the proposal would allow cities to enact a temporary sales tax for infrastructure projects….

A similar bill was proposed during the 2010 Legislature, however then House Bill 1198 failed to move out of it’s committee meeting.
