Huron City Commission Meets Tonight

The Huron City Commission meets tonight at the Huron Municipal Building. Commissioners will consider a change order and payment request, accept a bid for street lighting and set a bid date for bids on a water tower to be constructed in the North industrial park. A public hearing will be held to give an update on placing the Campbell Park Historic District in the National Register of Historic Places. The second and final reading of an ordinance establishing a Business Improvement District will be held. The Commission will consider resolutions allowing for bonds for drinking water facilities improvements and to become a South Dakota Retirement System Special Pay Program Unit. The Commission will also consider a wage adjustment and the appraisal of surplus park and rec items. The Commission will hold a work session on the 2012 Budget. The Huron City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 PM and the meeting is open to the public.
