The Huron City Commission will set bid dates tonight for a number of infrastructure projects in the new year. The Commission will consider specifications and bid dates for sewer main lining, sanitary sewer manhole renovation and a street milling and overlay project. The Commission will consider a Huron Housing Authority request to have a special assessment waived. Commissioners will also hear a presentation on the Downtown Huron Master Plan. Following that presentation, Commissioners will consider a resolution and letter of support for the plan. The Commission will consider the full time status of a Solid Waste Department employee and will announce the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday garbage collection schedule. City Offices will be Closed on Martin Luther King Jr. Day on January 17th. The Commission will meet in executive session for a personnel matter, then hold a work session and second reading of a city personnel ordinance. The Huron City Commission meets tonight at 5:30 PM at the Huron Municipal Building and the meeting is open to the public.
