Huron City and Beadle County government buildings have been closed to the public since late March when Covid-19 cases were first on the rise. As office staff started to work in office again closely following physical distancing guidelines and increasing hand sanitizer usage, the public has been taking care of issues without in office visits. That will continue to be the case into the month of July. For the City of Huron plans for opening offices to public traffic are waiting for a back order of plexiglass that could be another 2 weeks before those measures of caution are installed. The Beadle County Courthouse remains closed to the public for business as well. While they are still in the planning stages county offices could remain closed through July according to a source with Beadle county. Both Huron city and Beadle County offices are doing business and if you have anything that needs attention you can give them a call to arrange what you need.
