Huron Regional Medical Center Foundation Executive Director Paul Rann has been selected to the fourth class of Leadership South Dakota, according to Joel Nelson, HRMC Foundation board chair and controller for HRMC.
Rann is one of 43 class members selected to participate in the eight-month leadership program, which begins in September. Leadership South Dakota is a statewide program with a mission to attract engaged citizens from across the state, then provide them with the background, unique experiences, and insights necessary to assume leadership positions at the community, state, and national levels.
The purpose of Leadership South Dakota is to develop the future leaders of South Dakota by providing them with experiences that will expand their knowledge of the state, access to extraordinary people who have contributed to the fabric of the state, and skills in the areas of leadership and organizational management that will contribute to future success in South Dakota.
Originally from Lennox, South Dakota, Rann graduated from the University of South Dakota with a bachelor of science in political science and contemporary media and journalism. He is currently pursuing a master of business administration (MBA) through the University of Sioux Falls. In his role with the HRMC Foundation, he is responsible for directing and coordinating fundraising, special events, community and donor relations and all other activities which further the mission of the HRMC Foundation, which is to help strengthen, support and enhance the Huron Regional Medical Center system of care.
Rann and his wife Nikki, who works for Dr. George Nicholas, live in Huron with their two yellow Labradors, Belle and Huck. In his spare time, Rann enjoys hunting, volunteering and being involved in the community.
