Huron Regional Medical Center will host a six-week chronic disease self-management work shop beginning Wednesday, May 15 at 11 a.m. at HRMC Legacy Plaza Auditorium.
This workship is free and for any adult (or their caregiver) living with a chronic health condition such as Parkinson’s disease, diabetes, depression, chronic pain, congestive heart failure, chronic insomnia and more.
The program, designed by Better Choices, Better Health® SD and taught by Brock, offers six weekly sessions to help people living with chronic health conditions learn how to manage their health better. Topics include: goal setting, managing difficult emotions, relaxation skills, nutrition and physical activity planning and more.
The two- and one-half-hour sessions are held each Wednesday from May 15 through June 19, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Registration is required, please call 1-888-484-3800 or visit www.BetterChoicesBetterHealthSD.org.
