HRMC Honors Bierderstedt as June Exceptional Employee

Huron Regional Medical Center (HRMC) honored its June Exceptional Employee of the Month, Jennifer Bierderstedt with a reception on Wednesday, June 13, 2018.

Bierderstedt, who has worked as a receptionist at HRMC Physicians Clinic for nearly two years, was nominated by coworkers to receive the honor. According to nominating coworkers, “Jennifer has a great outlook in her every day duties and is willing to help anyone that Is in need – coworkers, patients and customers who enter the clinic.”

“She is very aware of her surroundings and does a great job keeping the clinic a safe and pleasant environment for the patients,” the nomination continued. “Jennifer shows care and compassion at every interaction.”

HRMC’s Exceptional Employee of the Month award recognizes an employee who goes above and beyond to exceed expectations. Employees can be nominated by other employees or by a patient or visitor who witnesses exceptional service. A committee of employees from various hospital departments chooses the employee on a monthly basis and an Exceptional Employee of the Year is chosen at year-end from the 12 monthly honorees.

As June exceptional employee, Bierderstedt received a reception with friends and coworkers, a meal certificate to a local restaurant, a professional photo session and portrait, $50, a lapel pin and a special parking place for a month.

Originally from Pierre, Bierderstedt graduated from Mitchell Technical Institute’s medical office professional program in May 2017.  She and her husband, Tadd, who is the assistant superintendent at Broadland Creek Golf Course, live in Huron. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, walking, going to country concerts and spending time with friends and family.

Patients or visitors can nominate an exceptional employee by calling 605 353-6539 for a nomination form or via e-mail at [email protected].
