HRMC Expanding Hospital and Clinic Visitation

HURON, SD – Huron Regional Medical Center has updated visitor restrictions to allow two visitors for hospital patients, HRMC Physicians Clinic and Women’s Wellness Center.

Due to the recent lower COVID-19 transmission rate in our community, some of the temporary restrictions implemented can be lifted at this time. This allows patients to have two visitors in all aspects of hospital care, including the inpatient care units, emergency room and outpatient procedures such as surgery, radiology, clinic and rehabilitation care appointments. Visitors must be age 16 and older and in good health. No visitors are allowed in COVID care areas.

  • Outpatient Services & Clinic Visits: Two persons to accompany patient at time of service.
  • Inpatient Services:  Two visitors at a time
  • Birthing Center:  Two visitors per patient per day

All individuals entering HRMC facilities will continue to be screened for COVID-19 symptoms. They will be asked to follow all infection control guidelines, including proper hand hygiene, and asked to wear a mask. Patients, visitors and support persons may bring their own mask or may opt to wear one supplied by the the safe care screener. Individuals will also be encouraged to maintain six-foot social distances and not to unnecessarily linger in public spaces.

To aid in the safety of our community, COVID-19 vaccinations are now open to Group 2, ages 18 years old and older. You may call your primary care physician to schedule an appointment for your vaccine as the clinics are ready with doses on-hand.
