HPD To Aggressively Look For Impaired Drivers Starting Today

Starting today, you’ll see more black and white on the street. The Huron Police Department is beginning an intensive holiday crackdown on impaired driving between now and New Year’s Day. Motorist should expect to see additional officers out working saturation patrols and sobriety checkpoints in and around the Huron area. Overtime costs for the operation are being reimbursed through grant funds from the Office of Highway Safety. Officers will be working together with the common goal of zero traffic fatalities this holiday season
