Last year’s event featured a number of emergency vehicles parked along California Avenue, a watermelon eating contest and entertainment in the Campbell Park Bandshell. The Huron Police Department estimated 1700 to 2000 people attended the inaugural event. It runs from five to eight P-M next Tuesday August sixth. Any groups wanting to take part can contact Johnson at the police department by calling 353-8550.
