Law enforcement used a nearly perfect afternoon to conduct and aerial search for a missing Woonsocket woman last week. Rachel Cyriacks has been missing for nearly four and a half months. The 30-year-old was last heard from on November 11th. Sanborn County Sheriff Tom Fridley says he’s had conversations with Colonel Craig Price from the South Dakota Highway Patrol about use of a Highway Patrol helicopter….
Fridley says there was nothing specific that prompted the search flight….
The helicopter was seen flying in low patterns over parts of eastern Jerauld and western Sanborn Counties. Those were just some of the places the search flight went….
Fridley says they are also asking aerial applicators and private pilots needed flight time to consider flying in the area. He is asking people to stay alert and attentive to their surroundings….
And while they have had no new tips on where Cyriacks may be, they are getting plenty of help…
Previous search efforts have included use of a search dog from Codington County.
