The South Dakota Department of Transportation (SDDOT), in cooperation with Duininck Inc., will hold an open house style public meeting for the Highway 37 James River Bridge project north of Huron on Monday, April 1, at 6 p.m.
The $5.3 million project will reconstruct the structure over the James River along with grading for one-half mile south.
Work is tentatively scheduled to begin in early April and includes structure replacement, approach grading, scour protection and column repair. The road will be closed during construction with a car only detour provided. Trucks will not be permitted on the detour and will need to find an alternate route.
