A ballot measure to be voted on in three weeks is seeing some support. A poll released last weekend indicates that forty four percent of likely voters support the issue, while thirty seven percent oppose it. Initiated Measure 15 would raise the state sales tax by a penny, from four to five cents. Under the measure, the money, about one hundred eighty million dollars a year, would be split evenly between K – 12 schools, and Medicaid providers.
