Local civic or charitable groups have until this Saturday, April 1st, to apply for grants from the Huron Community Foundation. The Foundation provides financial assistance to worthy projects in Huron.
Steve Gohn of HCF talks about the criteria the Foundation considers when awarding grants.
Grant awards are normally approved in the range of $500 to $5,000. This year the Foundation has $42,565 available for distribution. Since 2004, the Foundation has awarded $315,637 to community organizations.
The grants will be awarded the week of the the 13th annual Canaries game in Huron on May 12th. Gohn says the Foundation will have exciting news to share at the game.
Grant guidelines and applications are available at www.huroncommunityfoundation.org.
