Huron officials have been concerned along with other cities that host State Tournament events that the Activities Association was attempting to push all events to Sioux Falls and Rapid City, and do it behind closed doors. The concerns prompted lawmakers to pass Senate Bill 90 during this year’s legislative session. The measure holds the Activities Association to open meeting requirements and forces the group be more transparent.
