South Dakota democratic Governor candidate Billie Sutton added Sioux Falls businesswoman Michelle Lavallee to his ticket as the Lieutenant Governor choice.
Lavallee was born in Tulare and raised on a farm near Huron.
Sutton says he wants to continue working across the political aisle.
Sutton says shared values are very important
Lavallee says she feels it is time to make the leap into politics.
Lavallee, a former republican, heads up a marketing group in Sioux Falls, and was previously with Avera McKennen Hospital, Raven Industries, and the University of South Dakota.
Suttons choice will be confirmed at this weekend’s democratic state convention in Sioux Falls.
