A groundbreaking ceremony for the new Ground Round restaurant in Huron was held this morning. Elected officials, representatives of Greater Huron Development Corporation, the Chamber and the public were on hand in Southtown, where work has begun on the project.
Owner Diane London also attended the groundbreaking. In addition to Ground Round, London is the owner of Perkins in Ft. Pierre. She talked about what Huron can expect from Ground Round.
London says the credit for the new restaurant coming to town goes the people of Huron.
Several speakers at the ceremony praised the quality of the staff at London’s Perkins restaurant. London says when it comes to delivering quality service her philosophy is simple.
London says the completion date of the restaurant depends on if the weather cooperates.
The Huron location will incorporate all of Ground Round’s latest design elements, including an expanded layout and meeting room.
