It’s will be a busy day at the Beadle County Courthouse with two high-profile cases. Kyle Gross of Iroquois will be sentenced today after pleading guilty to second degree manslaughter. Gross reached a deal with prosecutors that kept his son Brady from going to trial on two manslaughter charges. Both were facing first and second degree manslaughter charges relating to a 2008 traffic accident that killed a former Huron resident, who was visiting family, when a truck driven by Brady and owned by Kyle Gross, lost its brakes at an intersection and struck and killed Barbara Walter of Auburn, Washington. And a motions hearing is scheduled for Edwin Thompson who is accused of killing Ryan Treadway in November of 2009.
