Governor Says Tax Cuts Should Be A "Local" Choice

A bill sponsored by Senator Larry Rhoden of Union Center would keep property taxes at current levels even if a ten percent cut in state aid to education is passed. Under the plan from Governor Dennis Daugaard, local property taxes would decrease five percent if state aid is cut.  Daugaard says he thinks that property tax cut should be a local decision…
