The “Blue Ribbon Task Force on Teachers and Students” has started its round of public meetings across the state. A number of legislators have been critical of requests for them to just be observers of the process, and not speak up at the meetings. Governor Dennis Daugaard, who set up the task force, says this part of the process is not focused on legislators…

The Governor says more members will soon be added to the task force when they wrap up the first round of public meetings. The results of the task force will be given to the 2016 legislature.
