Governor Daugaard Explains Budget To Huron

Governor Dennis Daugaard brought his budget explanation tour to Huron Wednesday. Daugaard presented the budget with the same slides and presentation he used to tell lawmakers about his plan to cut spending by 10-percent and eliminate the structural deficit. Daugaard anticipates the bank franchise tax to increase but says construction revenue has not yet recovered…

Daugaard is hopeful gradual increases can be made to areas where cuts have been made after the structural deficit is eliminated.
