Gov. Expects State Agencies to End Fiscal Year in the Black

The end of the week is also the end of the fiscal year for the State of South Dakota, and it looks like it will be a close call for the budget.

Governor Dennis Daugaard says departments and agencies should have enough cash on hand to end the year in the black

Daugaard had asked state agencies to cut back on spending as much as they could to get to the end of the year.

He says the slow down in state revenue is a nation wide trend

Daugaard says a number of states are running into financial problems

Daugaard expects revenue to come in about eleven million dollars under estimates.
