Governor Daugaard has awarded over 860-thousand dollars in grants to South Dakota’s four technical schools.
He says the money will buy much needed equipment:
The grants will go toward Build Dakota-eligible programs where student enrollments exceed equipment capacity for the 2017-18 school year. Programs receiving the equipment fund grants include diesel technology, precision machining, building trades, welding and manufacturing technology, licensed practical nursing and surgical technology.
The biggest chunk, $400,000 is going to Mitchell Tech.
