A Huron man is announcing his intentions to seek a seat on the Huron School Board. Sherman Gose made his declaration as a School Board candidate Thursday afternoon. Gose is a life long Huron resident who is married and raising five children with wife Deena. Gose’s children are all currently enrolled in either the high school, middle school or elementary school. Gose says that diverse range of students at varying ages of education gives him a unique perspective on the Huron School system. Gose believes his experience as a financial manager and small business owner helps him understand the pressure facing the community and taxpayers. Gose has assisted with many groups including Junior Achievement, the Huron Chamber, Huron Junior Athletics, Youth Wrestling, Huron Park and Rec and is currently serving as vice-chair of the Greater Huron Development Corporation. Gose says his background in financial planning, working with successful organizations, knowledge of the community and of the school system will be strong assets if elected to the Huron School Board. The combined City/School election is April 9th.
