The 2023 South Dakota Legislature approved funding for the SD Housing Infrastructure loan and grant program. It is for site preparations including water and sewer installation for future home construction. Ted Haeder with Greater Huron Development spoke before the Huron City Commission about a second infrastructure application that they are assisting with.
Haeder updated the commission on where the program applications and approvals stands.
A previous infrastructure request for Broadland Creek subdivision north of the Dakota Central Postal Facility was not approved.
