Mental health issues are being discussed more today and an opportunity to hear from someone who has dealt with Ptsd and thoughts of suicide comes up Sunday and Monday at the Event Center in DeSmet.  Scott Geiselhart is a 20 year veteran firefighter, father and former auto repair shop owner.  He is a Ptsd, meth and suicide attempt survivor.  Geiselhart started speaking several years ago about how his years as a first responder and the effect on his mental health.  He gives us a background of that work.

Geiselhart talks about where those stressors led him.

He will be speaking Monday to first responders and Sunday night to the general public.  Because Ptsd can happen to anyone.

One firefights story of survival, Scott Geiselhart for the public Sunday December 4th at 7pm everyone is encouraged to attend.  The following night at 6:30 open to all dispatchers, Ems, fire personnel and law enforcement.  Both presentations at the DeSmet Event Center.
