PIERRE, S.D. (AP) – The South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks Commission will act today on a proposal to re-establish a state game refuge in Hand County. The Legislature this year repealed a state law that created the Wall Lake State Game Bird Refuge. The Game, Fish and Parks Department siad some private landowners are opposed to the change in refuge status and asked that it be reinstated through administrative rule. The commission will act on that recommendation at a meeting in Pierre. It will also finalize the spring turkey hunting seasons.
