Grants are set up on a 60 month forgivable deed restriction. Each month you live in the home, 1/60th of the grant is forgiven. If you move or sell the home, your required to pay the unforgiven portion.
In addition to the grant program, HAPI offers assistance in other areas of home ownership, including housing sites and homebuyer education.
